A Tired, Helpless Man

 

I have always been a fighter, my whole life I have been fighting for justice as a cybercrime policeman, I have been working in this job for 20 years and I have seen many cases during my work but none like this one. A cybercrime that shook the core of our economy, a mafia group that stole money from the countries treasury the South Africa currency online heist was the biggest the world has seen globally, all the white people in the bank have either fled the country or stopped coming to work, the case was unsolvable.

 

We did not even know who is responsible, we only knew it is the CTRL+ALT+DLT society mafia. A Mafia that was initiated during the technological boom in Europe about 10 years ago in 2022, they started small by getting money from smaller institutions by hacking them and dispersing the money to African lower classes hoping to achieve a middle class in South Africa. A middle class that is slowly declining due to the unfair pay between the races living in South Africa. But this case has finally caught the global eye, and now the FBI, Interpol, MI5, BRGE, and Kremlin are all on it trying to fight this, rich men getting poorer as poor men get richer and they are still not able to secure a status of a middle class in South Africa. The government has directed most of its resources in the past 15 years to defence and the aerospace sector hoping to create a safe environment for the global banks to operate in South Africa, and even though they succeeded for a short while they have now failed miserably.

 

My daughter which is now 16, will never be able to go to college, yes all of my savings are gone, they have been stolen by the CTRL+ALT+DLT mafia, see no one knew where the mafia is, and what their objectives are we only knew that they stole money globally from countries that had low firewalls and technological advances to protect them from cybercrime, and even if South Africa was late to adopting some law to fight this, it is already too late as the world have surrounded itself with a technological crime shell, and South Africa dubbed the financial capital of Africa remained behind. The government has been misusing the treasury funds and this is why the CTRL+ALT+DLT mafia stole it, they left a message on every computer saying we can use it better.

 

My brother, a computer scientist was once the key to solving this cybercrime in South Africa, but he has left to Europe during the technological evolution boom 10 years ago and is not willing to come back to fight for South Africa, a country that he says in his words is “filled with racial discrimination, corruption and no appreciation for the human mind”. And while I sat on a bench chair thinking of his words, while people panicked and broke into the grocery stores, malls and looted everything they could find, while starving people on the street tried to secure some food as they knew they would not be able to have their minimum wage pay this month. I just sat there helpless and hopeless listening to the sounds of the private planes jetting from the private airports, everyone was fleeing South Africa, at least everyone that was able to afford it, and had an offshore bank account, and I sat here wondering to myself “how will I ever be able to put my only daughter through college”.
