Saeed Al Mehairi

the day you smiled at me for the first time

I knew my purpose in life would change

to accommodate keeping that smile

because I loved you in a way limitless and

undefined, mathematically impossible to understand

heavenly, you put me through hell

for a love that equals the area of land

and sea multiplied with more than the simultaneously

smiling people in this world combined.

if your good at algebra

you would still find this equation

very hard to mathematize.

equating the equator, a line going around

in circles such as I have been going around you

ever since you smiled,

I will be going round and round

until our lips are intertwined,

Or the land and sea collide.
